If you are inspired to learn, expand your circle, take risks, and succeed as a team, you can build a better career at MSC.Requisition ID : 3439 Employment Type : Full Time         Grade : Exempt 20 Job Category : Warehouse / Distribution                                             Work Location :  Elkhart, IN (Whse) State or Province : Indiana (US-IN)     Potential Work Location : United States : Indiana : Elkhart  DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides leadership, direction, and motivation to the management team to successfully and effectively work to accomplish operational goals and to ensure optimum performance of the CFC .Directs managers, line supervisors, and associates in the performance of the day-to-day operations of the customer fulfillment center.Delegates responsibilities between department managers to achieve optimal operating results and continuous improvement.Develops the CFC budget, ensures adherence to the budget, and takes corrective action as required.  Strives for cost per line improvements in all operations with a focus on productivity gains and error reduction.Monitors warehouse performance towards corporate goals.  Analyzes results and initiates appropriate action to achieve goals.Develops cross-functional relationships external to the customer fulfillment center to achieve goals and identify improvement opportunities.Directs efforts to improve profitability through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvement/loss prevention.Develops and delivers presentations to executive management.Directs regular staff meetings to ensure communication of strategy and resolution of issues.Manages significant cross-functional projects to ensure goals and timeline are met.Manages CFC inventory and ensures that all checks and balances are in place and operational to ensure inventory integrity/loss prevention.Shares “best practices” with other CFC’s.Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC manager as defined by the MSC Code of Conduct including hiring, termination, review, and development of associates.Develops, implements and fosters the Safety Culture alongside the Global Safety department through direct input and resource management.Drives the MSC Culture in the customer fulfillment center and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.      Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.  JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Director, Customer Fulfillment Center (cont’d) INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIESTo perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge experience level and abilities required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in Business or the euivalent and a minimum of five years experience in customer fulfillment/distribution center management including direct management of staff required. SKILLS:Excellent leadership, analytical, mathematical, computer, and organizational skills reuired.Strong customer fulfillment, warehousing, and materials handling background reuired.Knowledge of budgeting and staffing analysis reuired.Excellent oral and written communications skills reuired. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Bending to lift items from the floor and racks reuired.Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds reuired.Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet reuired.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time reuired. MISCELLANEOUS:Position may reuire a valid states driver’s license. Why MSC People.
