Daniel Defense engineers and manufactures the world's finest firearms systems and accessories. We are a faith-based organization, intensely focused on providing top quality small arms solutions to our military and law enforcement communities as well as to civilians seeking premium rifles for home defense, hunting, and sport shooting.
As International Sales Representative 1 youwill be responsible for the functions outlined below.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
- Research new international target markets
- Create a database of locations where DD is not currently doing business but can legally do so
- Contact and develop relationships with new international customers
- Arrange meetings and demonstrations for other members of the international sales team
- Responds to customer inquiries by phone or email
- Input and update sales orders and quotations
- Manage warranty claims and other customer service functions
- Provides status updates for all international accounts
- Obtain correct import/export documents for export licensing
- Maintains electronic records for the international sales team
- Ensure compliance with all federal and international firearm regulations
- Corresponds with international customers when the Director and/or Account Managers are traveling or unavailable
- Assist the international sales team at Daniel Defense HQ when needed
- Required to work at Daniel Defense facility in Black Creek, GA
- Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
- Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
- Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree preferredor a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- 0-2 years of sales experience preferred
- Experience in international sales preferred
- Military or law enforcement experience in contracting is a plus
- Intercultural experience preferred
- Proven ability to establish and maintain business relationships
- Excellent understanding of firearm safety and function
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict management and resolution skills
- Time management skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and company leadership
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Permission to Play Values.
- Travel requirements: 20% of the year.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing upto 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day - extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
