LABORER

Pay Scale: $18.19-$24.91
Job Summary:

Join our dedicated team as a Department of Public Works Laborer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the communityás infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

ó  Assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, sidewalks, and other public facilities.
ó  Operate various hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
ó  Perform routine inspections of public works projects to ensure compliance with safety standards.
ó  Support waste management efforts by collecting trash and recyclables from designated areas.
ó  Participate in snow removal operations during winter months.
ó  Work collaboratively with team members on various projects to meet deadlines and quality standards.
ó  Respond promptly to emergency situations as directed by supervisors.
ó  Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

ó  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
ó  Must possess a valid driverás license, CDL is preferred
ó  No prior experience required; however, experience in construction or maintenance is a plus.
ó  Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely.
ó  Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
ó  A valid driverás license is required; CDL is a plus.
ó  Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
ó  A commitment to safety practices and adherence to regulations at all times.
