Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (7+ years of experience) with a strong emphasis on Python development and automation. This role is responsible for designing and operating scalable infrastructure, building CI/CD platforms, and enabling engineering teams through automation and DevSecOps best practices.

The ideal candidate combines deep DevOps expertise with solid software engineering skills in Python, enabling the creation of robust, reusable platform solutions.

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Python-based applications
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep
• Build and operate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenShift)
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost optimization
• Implement observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar tools

• Develop Python-based tools for automation, orchestration, and platform services
• Build reusable frameworks and internal tooling for deployment and operational workflows
• Create integrations via APIs and automate infrastructure and platform processes
• Write clean, scalable, and testable Python code following engineering best practices

• Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, secrets management)
• Enforce IAM best practices and least-privilege access models
• Implement SRE principles including monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, and incident response automation
• Collaborate with security teams to enhance platform security posture

• Partner with engineering teams to drive DevOps adoption and cloud-native best practices
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and architecture decisions
• Support production environments and participate in on-call rotations

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Python development (beyond scripting)
• Deep experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and system administration
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools

• Experience building internal developer platforms or shared tooling
• Exposure to data platforms or MLOps environments
• Knowledge of service meshes and advanced cloud networking
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Prior mentorship or technical leadership experience
