Job Description

Field Technician


Position Summary

The Field Technician provides installation, maintenance and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory/region to assure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. In this role, you will have ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction and or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements. You will perform Tier II/III work on products and services of medium-high complexity. Tier II/III products include large Servers and Mainframe computers and peripherals, large system printers and plotters, enterprise level Servers, networks and software, item processing reader/sorters and networking issues on imaging systems, medium/high complexity networking/communications equipment, network and systems management/protocols (Ethernet, Token-Ring, StarLAN, NetBIOS, X25). Primary services include hardware maintenance, installation, network management, multi-vendor maintenance and software support.



  • Provide installation, maintenance on desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other equipment at various locations within an assigned territory/region
  • Provide continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction


Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified Candidates must have A+ (REQUIRED First) or Network+ certifications.
  • 2 year degree in electronics or computer technology
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of hands-on POS/ATM repair experience in a customer field environment
  • High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of PC repair experience in a customer field environment
  • Must have the ability to carrying and lifting a tool kit/parts of varying weights (1- 50 lbs.) and prolonged travel as needed
  • Must pass comprehensive background check including credit check, criminal, driving record, and drug screen
