MRK Industries (a subsidiary of AWI), is currently seeking a Finance Manager to join our Finance team in Libertyville, IL. As Finance Manager, you will mainly be responsible for all finance and accounting aspects of the subsidiary, partnering with the business management team to drive revenue growth, manufacturing performance and return on investments in order to meet financial objectives. 

 

Your role as Finance Manager will also focus on overseeing compliance and internal controls are in place in accordance with company policies, as well as supporting monthly performance analysis, budget and forecast development, and product costing. You will also be expected to develop management reporting, lead finance in software implementations and calculate return on investments for capital and cost reduction projects.

 

Responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Partner with the subsidiary sales and operational leadership to drive scalable, profitable growth
  • Develop tools to deliver insights into subsidiary profitability, cost performance and return on investments
  • Complete all aspects of the subsidiary month-end closing and reporting process
  • Analyze results and provide comprehensive insights for variances to various benchmarks including budget and forecast
  • Develop product cost model to enable effective custom project cost quote process
  • Prepare and develop the annual plant budget, including the development of projected revenues, standard costs, manufacturing period expense, and SG&A expenses
  • Provide financial consultation to business leadership, internal audit, and external auditors as requested
  • Proactively identify and support process improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency MRK's finance function
  • Support the business in generating and quantifying cost savings opportunities
  • Engage in proactive employee development initiatives to enhance the skillset and effectiveness of direct reports

 

Required Education and Qualifications of the Finance Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to forecast revenue, operational costs and SG&A expenses
  • Ability to link manufacturing metrics to financial performance
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization
  • Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent and professional manner
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Finance Manager:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • 7+ years of experience with manufacturing accounting with at least 3+ years as a Plant Controller
  • Experience with SAP, BW, Hyperion, Epicor or similar ERP system
  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Previous experience with software implementations
