Job Description

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst’s primary focus will be to manage and administer Identity Management for the University’s information systems. Aligns security management strategy with business goals for excellent user onboarding experience by managing who has access to resources and services, and enforcing business, privacy and security policies.

Responsibilities

  • The Identity Management Analyst will conduct all the operational tasks required to provision and de-provision users, which includes the creation of user IDs, management of identity groups, granting access to various systems, and the deletion of IDs, removal or change of access when no longer needed.
  • Manage IAM systems and work closely with IT and business units to ensure identity and access solutions meet or exceed security policies and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that the technical specifications and implementation of identity management matches the Chapman policy requirements.
  • Responsible for documentation of protocols and best practice business practices.
  • Collaborate with Chief Information Security Officer to analyze, develop and implement new identity management solutions based on requirements while ensuring adherence to information security standards, custom development standards and corporate policy.
  • Facilitate business process design as it relates to managing identities and access privileges such as architecture, delegated administration models, work flow models, and access control models.
  • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Identity and Access Management.
  • Experience administering and building new security roles, classes and / or rules within an IAM tool and / or appropriate system(s) or application(s) based on customer needs and compliance approval.
  • Knowledge of federated identity technologies.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory Organizational Units.
  • 2 years minimum hands-on experience required in Identity and Access Management.
  • Proficient knowledge of account administration using an Identity and Access Management software solution.
  • 2 years minimum working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Proficient knowledge of User/Group OUs, Group policies, ADFS.
  • Strong customer service, critical thinking, communication, troubleshooting and systems analysis skills.
  • Program management skills to independently run and manage IAM projects.
  • Knowledge of federated identity technologies Knowledge of Active Directory Organizational Units (OU), groups and user attributes Basic understanding of authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth and LDAP.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, troubleshooting and systems analysis skills.
  • Program management skills to independently run and manage IAM projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of individuals at all university levels, both inside and outside of the department.
  • Ability to learn and interpret university policies and department processes.
  • Tact and diplomacy and maintain high level of confidentiality.
