Job Description

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support continuous improvement efforts, by identifying and pursuing opportunities for process enhancements and waste reduction in Production, Logistics and Warehouse Ops.  More specifically:

  • Assess current equipment/processes and identify ways to increase throughput, improve labor efficiency, reduce material waste and reduce defects.
  • Be a liaison between Engineering and Production to ensure “best practice” in the manufacturing process and sync Estimated Cost with Actual Cost.
  • Oversee improvement projects/initiatives, PARs and equipment purchases.
  • Work with counterparts in other facilities to identify Best Practice and maximize synergies.
  • Act as a change agent for continuous improvement, utilizing “basic” Lean Management tools (5S, 7 Wastes, Kanban’s, etc.).
Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial / Systems Engineering / Operations Research or related field
  • Have 5+ years of process/design work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be very comfortable with technology and able to use Excel and Word.
